Medieval Literature

This is the homepage of a project called Medieval Icelandic Literature.

The year 1996- 1997 students at Menntaskolinn ad Laugarvatni, which is a small high school in the south of Iceland, compose these webpages as a part of their study in Icelandic Literature. Last year students at Fjoelbrautaskoli Vesturlands a Akranesi, a comprehensive school in the south-west of Iceland, composed several webpages about medieval literature, i.e. Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda, Snorri Sturluson, Laxdaela Saga and Egil's Saga. Their pages can be found at Old Icelandic Literature in Western Iceland.

Students in 3rd class at Menntaskolinn ad Laugarvatni start making pages about Eddic poems and then (presumably in November) make pages about various medieval texts. In the spring term students in 4th class make pages about Njals saga in collaboration with The High School at Skogar
