Lack of a woman can cost!

Many men lack a woman without doing anything about it. But some men use their money to satisfy their needs as Hosekuldur did. Hoskuldur has always been fond of women and couldn't stay long without one. He had been abroad for some time, without his wife Jorunn. At last he bought himself some love. He went to a market-place and bought a female slave to satisfy his needs. The slave later gave birth to a child called Olafur pa.

Children's Bersi

Some rumour tells that Holmgoengu -Bersi from Saurbaer is one of the worst child-molestors ever knewn. Bersi's slave tells that little Halldor Olafsson didn't fall from his cradle at all, as has been the official version of the story, but in fact Bersi threw him across the room, when Halldor cried and didn't behave. Families in the neighbourhood of Saurbaer fear for their children's lifes. It's said that Bersi steps outside his house at midnight and chases the children in the neighbourhood...

Abuse of power

In Hjardarholt strange things have happened! A slave had a baby with another slave. It was the most beautiful baby people had ever seen. Olafur and Thorgerdur had a baby at the same time but their baby was a half-witted imbecile. The night after the babies were born Olafur secretly changed babies, i.e. took the slave's child and put his own instead by the slave. Olafur raised the slave's child as his own and called him Kjartan. No one has ever found out except me, but Olafur told me this when he was almost unconcious and I was his nurse...

Stigandi turns back

Rumour tells that Stigandi didn't get killed at all. He lost conciousness but woke up after 7 hours, bought a ship, sailed to Norway and settled there. From Norway he went to Africa and came to a place called Sahara. When Sigandi came there all was green and fertile but Stigandi turned the soil upside down and now Sahara is a desert and will be in the future. Some elephants attacked Stigandi on his way to his ship and he barely survived. When sailing back to Norway Stigandi's ship was wrecked. His body hasn't yet been found but a rescue team of boy-scouts is still looking for it...

Something more than just friends...

Some sources tell that Kjartan Olafsson and Bolli Thorleikson have a more intimate relationship than just ordinary friendship. They spend all their time toghether and Bolli always lets Kjartan win all competitions. Maybe he wants to have a relationship with a champion...

Babytrouble

A rumour tells that Gudrun Osvifursdottir was pregnant in her first marriage with Thorvaldur in Garpsdal. As she didn't love her husband she didn't want to keep the baby and gave it to the popular reporter Illugi. Now Illugi is having a lot of trouble raising the child because he's as hottpempered as his mother. Gudrun was only 15 years old when she had the child.

Promiscuity

It's told that Gudrun Osvifursdottir, the wife of Bolli Thorleiksson, is not faithful to him. Gudrun has been seen at night with a tall, blond and very handsome man. People have heard her go out at night and she hasn't returned until next morning. Once she didn't come back in two days. If anyone mentions this to Bolli he blushes to the roots of his hair. Bolli has been trying to give precious things to Gudrun and be as nice to her as he can. He doesn't admit that she may be having an affair with another man - he just says that this is only a rumour...
