A few days ago, Geimundur gnyr divorced Thuridur Olafsdottir after three years of marriage. Geirmundur had planned to leave the country on his ship but was delayed because of bad weather. Last night Thuridur went with her one year old daughter, Gro, and nine other men to Geirmundur's ship. They made holes in his lifeboat and Thuridur sneaked aboard and exchanged his sword, Fotbitur, for Gro. Then they left the ship. No one noticed their visit until Thuridur and her men were out of reach. Geirmundur woke up when Gro started to cry and immediately noticed that his sword was gone. He went to the bulwork ad cast a spell on Fotbitur that it would kill the one that was the most important man in the family. • May 8 993:

Yesterday, Gudrun Osvifursdottir's second husband drowned in Breidafjordur. His name was Thordur Ingunnarson. He drowned when his ship ran aground on a skerry which nobody had ever seen before in the sea. This skerry is believed to have occurred because of the witchcraft of Kotkell and his family. This all started because Thordur sued Kotkell and his family and accused them of stealing and use of sorcery against Thordur's mother, Ingunn. After killing Thordur with magic, Kotkell and his family fled to Thorleikur Hoeskuldsson in Laxardalur and got a place for a living instead of good horses.

Kotkell, Grima (his wife) and Hallbjoern slikisteinsauga (their sons) are dead and so is Kari Hrutsson and Eldgrimur. These killings started by Hrutur killing Eldgrimur for trying to steal Thorleikur's horses. Thorleikur got very angry because he wanted to kill the thief himself. So Thorleikur asked Kotkell to do something that was bad for Hrutur's family. Kotkell, his wife and sons perfomed a magical ceremony, called seidur, outside Hrutsstadir. Kari Hrutsson couldn't sleep that night ad decided to look outside. The magic killed him instantly. Hrutur went to Olafur pa and they decided to kill Kotkell and his whole family. At first they caught all of them but Stigandi, later on they caught Stigandi also, and killed them all. Then Hrutur wanted to get a revenge on Thorleikur but Olafur pa had made Thorleikur move abroad.

A couple of days ago the Icelandic people became Christian. Olafur Tryggvason, king of Norway, forced them to do so by keeping Kjartan Olafsson and some other Icelandic chietains as hostages in Norway. But, according to rumour, Kjartan hasn't been bored in Norway, because he's had a splendid relationship with Ingibjoerg, the king's sister. When Kjartan left, she gave him a precious head gear and told him to give it to Gudrun the morning after their wedding night (i.e. his and Gudrun's wedding night). He also got a sword from king Olafur. The sword has the spell on it that Kjartan won't be hurt by weapons as long as he carries it. This is not the whole story because Bolli and Gudrun are already married and it'll be interesting to see Kjartan's reactions when he finds out - when he arrives to Iceland.
