Hallbera married Arni oreida (=disorder) who lived at Brautarholt, when she was very young. Their marriage turned out to be very unhappy and they got divorced after only three years in cohabitation. When Hallbera was in her twenties a man named Kolbeinn ungi (=the young) Arnorsson, a leader in Skagafjoerdur, N-Iceland, asked her to marry him. He was only twenty years old then.

A year after the wedding, Hallbera went with her husband to Thingvellir. At that time she had become very ill. She stayed with her father at Thingvellir and went with him to Reykholt because Kolbeinn didn't care about her anymore. Hallbera got divorced again and after that she lived with her mother at Borg. Two years later she died.
