She builds up the exitement by telling about what happened first in the world and then gradually gets closer to the present. She then describes what will be happening or what is already going on. She repeats sentences and sometimes whole stanzas to build up more suspense.

The poem is about the history of the world from the beginning of it to the end and also about what happens after the end.

My personal opinion is that the poem is rather boring, it does not suit my line of interest.
