Freyja

Freyja is the most important godess in Norse Mythology. She's the beautiful godess of love and fertility. Her father was Njordur in Noatun, god of the sea. Her mother was Skadi in Thrymsheimur, daughter of the giant Thjassi. Freyja's brother is Freyr, god of fertility.

Freyja's husband was Odur, who has left her a long time ago and she sometimes cries tears of gold because she misses him. She used to travel among strange nations to look for him and she called herself different names, like Mardoell, Hoern, Gefn and Syr, while travelling. Freyja has only one daughter, Hnoss, with Odur.

Freyja lives in Folkvangur in Asgard. Her house, Sessrumnir, is big and beautiful. She has a precious necklace called Brisingamen and a wagon which is pulled by two cats. She is also in posession of a falcon-like disguise, which she once lent to Loki Laufeyjarson, when he needed to get to Joetunheimar.
