Gunnar ends all his arguments by challenging people to a duel, as if he lives to show off. He knows he is the best fighter of them all and therefore gives no one a chance to explain their cases at the Althing. I think the respect Gunnar recieves is just superficial and in fact nothing but fear. All the gifts Gunnar gets from people are just insurances for their continuing lives, so they don't risk getting him against them. Isn't there anybody else in the community who needs goodwill than Gunnar? His d ignity ought to be taken from him and put to the right people in the society, to those who deserve it. This situation is simply not tolerable for a man in my position.
Two old brats here close by, I won't tell their names but let's call them Hallgerdur and Bergthora, have been the masterminds behind the killing of innocent fellow countrymen. I allow myself to ask: How can anyone be safe with these criminally insane women around? Well, I, at least, am thankful for the fact that their husbands are treating this issue in the civilized manner that suits them. I guess this is all in the hands of women so I can only see one solution to this problem: Proper punishment at Althing!
I would like to challenge their husbands, let's call them Gunnar and Njall, to show their dignity in making this a reality.
