Mysterious events happened at Kirkjubaer the night before Wednesday, when the larder of the farm burnt to ashes and all the food supplies were damaged. According to the farmer, Otkell, the damages are great, but he said he was glad that things didn't turn out to be worse because a lot of people were in the house and the fire almost got to the part of it where people live. It is not known yet what started the fire but it's being investigated.
Late in the night last Thursday the dog Samur was found dead. He had been beaten up savagely and then his head was cut off. The owners of the dog, Gunnar and Hallgerdur, are of course very hurt and sad. Gunnar said he would kill the one who did this and throw him into the river Ranga with his own hands.
