Vínland
which was discovered by Leifur the
Lucky in the year 1000 is placed where Canada and North America
is now. Because of all the grapes and grapevine they named the country
Vínland (which means Wine-Land).
Weather: Weather in Vínland was very nice. The average
temperature was about 2-3 degrees higher than people are used to nowadays.
Despite this weather-conditions there was a lot of ice bergs and therefore
the sea was very cold.
Nature: Leifur and his companions found on Vínland a few
plants, including natural wheat-fields, maple so big that you could live
in it, a lot of grapevine and two kinds of wild grapes.
