Characters in Egils saga

Persons in the first half of Egils saga (chapter 1 - 30).

Harald the king of Norway: Harald had beautiful hair. He was at time fighting for power in Norway. He was very frightened of that everyone was betraying him.

The sons of Hildiridur: Harekur and Hraerekur were Thorolfur's prime enemies after he had refused them of an inheritance from their father. They were a kind of nerds but they succeded to turn things against Thorolfur with false proof for his case.

Kveld-Ulfur: He was the son of Bjalfi. He was married to Salbjoerg and had two sons, Thorolfur and Skalla-Grimur. Kveld-Ulfur was a berserk, rather ugly, a good farmer, a poet and he was prescient (he could foresee events).

Thorolfur Kveld-Ulfsson: He was not like his brother. Thorolfur was great, became a very good man and very popular. He became rich quickly and got a good position of power at the king.

Skalla-Grimur Kveld-Ulfsson: Her was the son of Kveld-Ulfur and the brother of Thorolfur. Skalla-Grimur was very ugly but a good farmer, a great poet, a good blacksmith and a berserk. He was clairvoyant like his father. In most things he resembled his father but was not at all handsome as his brother.
